Responsibility: Chief Economist

Key Roles

· Direction of economic planning functions/production of statistical data at the NPS

· Coordination and formulation of national development Strategies, Policies and Programs

· Monitoring and Evaluation of Policies and Programmes

· Assist in Planning and management of human resources, projections of manpower needs and training to meet national development objectives, population surveys and compilation of data for planning and social services

· Assist in collection, collation, processing and administration of statistical data in accordance with the Statistical Act,

.Formulating coordinated strategies, policies and programs for harmonious development of the economic sectors, carrying out sectoral studies and research, monitoring changes in key indicators of sectoral economic structure, trends and efficiency.

Key Roles

· Preparing performance contract targets and progress reports;

· Assist in coordination and development of policies and strategic plans of the Ministry;

· Assist in preparation and coordination of implementation of annual work plans;

· Assist in preparation of project proposals and concept notes as need arises;

· Participation in monitoring and evaluation of ministerial projects and programmes across the country;

· Assist in Preparation of Annual Progress Reports (APRs) of Vision 2030;

· Uploading and updating project data into the e-promis system;

· Uploading and updating project data into the Presidential Delivery Unit portal;

· Participating in Research work of the Directorate an the Ministry;

· Liaising with Finance department in preparation of revise and MTEF Budget of the Directorate and the Ministry;

· Liaising with Finance department in preparation of Ministerial Programme Performance Review (PPR);

· Chair Inspection and Acceptance Committee for the Directorate of Immigration Services;

· Member of Mainstreaming Committee National Values and Principles of Governance in the Directorate of Immigration Services;

· Member of Directorate’s Performance Management Committee;

· Member of Directorate’s Project Implementation Committee.

· Team leader in the Kenya Health and Life Experiences Survey of Children and Youth of 2010;

· In charge of data collection in Rift-Valley region, supervising four Assistants;

· Participated in the 2009 Kenya Population and Housing Census data processing;

· Training of data entry clerks;

· Responsible for ensuring we operated within set budgets;

· Supervised scanning of data records.

Responsibility: Part Time Technician

Key Roles

· Responds to students user requests for assistance with system, assessing general nature of problem and providing support or referring requester to appropriate staff as needed;

· Troubleshoots system hardware and software problems;

· Assist the lecture to administer exams to students.

Responsibility: Tutor

Key Roles

· Maintains all records required to document student's attendance and academic progress;

· Schedules and conducts monthly conferences with student and professor explaining evaluation of the student's progress;

· Assists in arranging various special academic programs;

· Assists with tutorial program evaluation.
