JOSEPH CHEGE GITHINJI

Summary

I am a motivated, competent, self-driven, and responsible person seeking a position to be your music teacher in your institution. I am a music teacher specialist who has gained extensive experience during my time on campus, internships, as a music teacher at MGA group of schools, and currently the head of music department at St Bakhita School, from kindergarten to Junior school. I am a music teacher conversant in teaching various musical instruments, including piano, recorder, drums, guitar, trumpet, clarinet, and some traditional instruments such as ohangla, kayamba, and adeudeu. I use the ABRSM and LCM approach of teaching, which is the musician's key foundation. My teaching is both class-wise and instrumental studies. I have been a CBC teacher since the first implementation of CBC. I am therefore much conversant with teaching methodology and curriculum implementation. I have also been the Head of Music Department at St Bakhita School Limited for 2 years. For the last 2 years, I have been taking learners through international exams (LCME). This year, I had several learners who did their exams at Peponi school and others at Braeburn International school. This experience in teaching has enabled me to create a good rapport with my students, ranging from kindergarten level to upper school level. I not only treat them with care and concern but also motivate them to achieve their goals. I am a believer that ‘every child has a God-given talent and it should be nurtured to unleash their potential.”
