  • I was responsible for overseeing receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods and relief items in compliance with safety and aviation standards to different destinations where Kenya Airways operates.
  • It was my responsibility to maintain accurate inventory records for supplies, ensuring traceability and accountability.
  • It was my duty to ensure secure handling of sensitive materials such as medical supplies, food rations, and emergency kits during receipts and also during dispatch.
  • One of my key role was to plan and coordinate the movement of goods including humanitarian cargo through airport facilities, liaising with customs, airlines, and ground handlers. This was to foster smooth running of operations at the airport.
  • I was equally tasked to ensure timely clearance and delivery of relief consignments to camps, transit centers, and host communities during the Post Election Violence of 2013 as well 2017 from donors who were mainly UKAID and USAID.

  • I acted as the focal point between airport authorities, humanitarian organizations, and logistics service providers when clearing the incoming shipments from donors like UKAID and USAID.
  • I trained warehouse staff and ground handlers on humanitarian logistics principles, including handling of sensitive cargo. Supervise and support a multicultural team, ensuring adherence to humanitarian values and workplace safety.

  • I was attached at Uniform stores where I was responsible for uniform receipt and issuance to KQ uniformed staff and transacting them accordingly in the system.
  • As a receiving officer, I was responsible for all goods receipts done into the company from both local and international suppliers of all in-flight material and updating them in the system respectively.
  • At the fuel office, I was responsible for fuel receipt and issuance to the company vehicles and equipment for the purpose of smooth running of operations at the airport.
