  • Oversaw the implementation of a Usd$ 20Million Kenya Election Assistant Program (KEAP) grant during the 2017 election process period in Kenya through support of various election stakeholders i.e Office of Registrar of Political Parties, Judiciary, National Assembly, Political Parties Dispute Tribunal (PPDT), IEBC, Kenya law Reform Commission (KLRC), Civil Society Organizations, NGO's, State and non-state actors e.t.c
  • Lead a team of 40+ personnel comprised of program coordinators, program officers, specialists and Consultants to participate in development of division's strategic plan and seek out business development opportunities for the division and manage development processes, including proposal writing.
  • Oversaw and Lead discussions with Monitoring and Evaluation team to design and determine indicators, monitor to ensure program compliance and timely reporting which also included providing guidance in design, implementation, evaluation and overall management of project ensuring adherence to approved annual work plans and effectiveness of program activities.

  • Coordinated strategic development tools for project implementation on international development cooperation programs and ODA related projects budgeted at Usd$ 50 Million in Fiji, Ecuador, Kyrgyzstan, Congo Dominican Republic, Kazakstan, Samoa, Kyrygzstan and Kenya
  • Lead a team of professionals in the development of work plans project designs, monitoring and implementation tools commensurate to the budget allocation that allowed ease in the implementation of projects
  • Coordinated and lead team of officials in preparing election observers program for member states to be deployed to observe various General and Parliamentary elections in Krygystan, Dominican Republic, Malawi, Ecuador, Kazakhstan, Kenya, DRC Congo and South Africa.
  • Oversaw the drafting of memorandums of understanding between AWEB and member states to firm up futuristic and coordinated long term relationships.
  • Conducted Capacity Building trainings on governance and modern democracy during capacity building forums organized by AWEB.
  • Negotiated with bilateral and/or multilateral government agencies on behalf of the organization in addition to analyzing, identifying electoral management deficiencies in developing democracies while proposing sustainable programs to address the situation of which recorded a success rate of over 50% of organizations that we engaged signing up MOU's with AWEB.

  • During my tenure, designed and oversaw implementation of a caucus network of Ambassadors residing in South Korea whose representative countries were members of AWEB. The caucus was a strategic platform for peer to peer exchange on best governance tools to adopted and share.

  • Liaised with all election stakeholder (i.e Political parties, CSO's, Judiciary, National Assembly, Field Election agent e.t.c) on behalf of the office of the Chairperson for ease and flow of information and coordination with the Commission.
  • Participated in capacity building and training of election stakeholders through contributions drafting and reviewing of training materials and even took part as a trainer.
  • Liaised with international donor group to establish nature of support to the Commission and deliverables throughout the election cycle.
  • Appointed to the task force mandated to formulate policy paper that informed the development of Electoral laws following the promulgation of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
  • Appointed member taskforce that saw the drafting and implementation of the IEBC Funds Regulations 2012, Elections regulations 2012 both as a drafter and researcher of comparative legislation.
  • Oversaw review of policy papers to ensure they were in-sync with relevant laws in order to advice the Commission Chairperson on relevant actions to take.
  • Oversaw the review of contracts, memorandums of understanding, Gazette notices developed by the legal team before advising the Chairperson to engross them to law.
  • Contributed to the drafting and development of the background chapter of the Boundary Delimitation Report which was later adopted by the Commission and the government of Kenya in 2012
  • Managed all legal affairs in the office of the chairperson while advising the Chairperson accordingly in liaison with other Commission directorates.

  • Tasked with the review and research on the chapters introduced by the promulgated Kenya Constitution 2010 (then new) to identify necessary subsidiary legislation to be implemented to allow operationalized of the Constitution.

  • participated as a Assistant Chief researcher in the drafting and translation of numerous legislations born out of the Newly promulgated Constitution of 2010.
  • Participated as a researcher in the taskforce tasked to develop the initial report on the Governance, Justice, Law and Order Sector (GJLOS) Policy Law and Regulation Baseline Data Survey of 2011.
