• Improved regional management of cholera outbreaks by implementing cost-effective capacity-building activities, including training, AARs, simulation exercises, provision of tools and guidelines

• Spearheaded cholera outbreak response in Malawi, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe by providing technical, financial, and logistical support, significantly improving patient outcomes and eventual control of outbreaks.

Conducted the first-ever regional assessment of the implementation of the Cholera prevention and control regional framework, which highlighted the progress made, challenges faced, and recommendations to guide countries and the region.

• Led the development and implementation of COVID-19 guidelines and plans in all 116 districts of the country, enhancing national public health emergency preparedness and response

• Designed and implemented the COVID-19 Home-based care strategy, which improved patient care and outcomes.

• Led the establishment and operationalization of the Public Health Emergency Operations Centre at the Zambia National Public Health Institute, greatly enhancing the coordination of Public health emergencies in the country
• Strengthened emergency preparedness and response at national and subnational levels by developing/updating plans, and coordinating risk assessments and capacity-building programs.

• Enhanced district health services by implementing cost-control policies, improving service delivery, and fostering effective stakeholder relationships.
