My role was to facilitate timely and appropriate intervention from the obstetricians and midwives
  • We received many unconscious patients due to poisoning on the long distance bus journey from various locations to Mombasa.My role was to identify the possible culprit drug used from the symptoms and administer the appropriate antidote and other required measures
  • We received quite a number of gender based violence cases, defilement of under age children and rape cases especially during the night shift. My role was to remain current on the immediate post rape medical care , refer for HIV post exposure prophylaxis , legal documentation and safety of the patient
