Practical and professional experience in at least 8 African countries, including highly fragile and conflict-affected emergency contexts in Eastern Africa.
Progressive experience of 5+ years in contexts of emergency and resilience in Africa, working on areas such as: project operations, management of multi-year projects and multi-cultural teams (including budgets, workplanning, finance, contracts, procurement, recruitment, documentation) and thematic areas such as capacity development, disaster risk management, food system resilience, value chain development and private sector engagement, conflict sensitivity, learning and knowledge management, evidence-based and adaptive management, design and organizing of trainings and workshops.
Currently working on programmes aiming to build food system resilience in contexts of protracted crises in Ethiopia, Sudan, Somaliland and South-Sudan, working for The United Nation's Food & Agriculture Organization (UN-FAO) Sub-Regional Office for Eastern Africa, based in Nairobi, Kenya.
