Summary

I am a purpose-driven graduate in Business Information Technology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Nairobi, Kenya, with a strong background in digital innovation, civic engagement, and leadership. I have held progressive leadership roles from primary to high school, culminating as School Captain at Starehe Boys' Centre and School, Nairobi, where I mentored over 1,000 students and all peer leaders through a servant and transformational leadership model. Until 25 July 2025, I served as a part-time volunteer ICT Intern at the State Department for Mining, Ministry of Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs, Nairobi, where I contributed to digitizing public records, enhancing internal ICT workflows, and supporting policy-oriented research on e-governance. Alongside this, I continue to coordinate a grassroots youth initiative that supports street-children in Nairobi, through donation drives and mentorship. My work reflects a deep commitment to inclusive governance, social justice, and citizen-centered transformation. I aim to advance these values across Kenya, East Africa, and the broader Global South.

Gaps

  • Between September 2021 and April 2024, while pursuing my full-time undergraduate studies in Business Information Technology at JKUAT, I remained consistently engaged in development-relevant civic and volunteer work. During this period, I initiated and coordinated a grassroots youth project supporting street children in Nairobi. I then joined the Ministry of Mining from May 6th 2025 while still running my grassroots project to date even after concluding the internship on 25th July 2025.
  • Following my voluntary service placements in August 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic significantly disrupted the Kenyan school calendar. Schools closed nationwide in early 2020, and I resumed high school in late 2020 to prepare for the delayed KCSE national examination, which I completed in April 2021. While awaiting university admission, I continued to serve as School Captain at Starehe Boys' Centre and School, overseeing leadership development and mentorship, until my tenure ended on 31 August 2021. On 1 September 2021, I began coordinating a grassroots volunteer initiative to support street children in Nairobi, shortly before enrolling at JKUAT on 6 September 2021.
