    CONSULTING EXPERIENCE

    I have garnered substantial consulting experience across diverse sectors, contributing to the success of several professional firms and organizations. At Triad Architects, I spearheaded the recruitment of an HR Manager. At PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) I was involved in diverse recruitment projects, including assignments for entities like Kenya Power and the National Bank of Kenya. At the Office of the President in Kenya, I served on the selection panel for the position of Chair at the Public Service Commission, a prestigious Presidential appointment.

    In the government sector, I conducted workshops and facilitated the recruitment of County Executive Committee and members of the Public Service Board for the Kiambu County Government. In the construction and civil works sector, I conducted training on performance management using the Balanced Scorecard approach at Civicon and provided HR audit services and manual development for Hope Worldwide Kenya.

    In the health sector, I led leadership training programs for county health management teams in various counties for GIZ and conducted various consulting services, including HR audits and job evaluations, for hospitals such as The Mater Hospital, MP Shah Hospital, Nakasero Hospital in Uganda, Kenyatta National Hospital, Melchizedek, PCEA Kikuyu Hospital, and Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) via Management Sciences for Health (MSH) sponsored by USAID.

    For organizations in the food and hospitality industry, I provided HR consulting services, job evaluations, and manual development for Meridian Hotel, Coca-Cola (Nairobi Bottlers), Mill Bakers Limited, Kevian Kenya, Kiwayu Safari Village, and others. In the international NGO sector, I engaged with Africa Lead, CABI Africa, International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), ICRAF in Rwanda and Cameroon, Oxfam, African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD), Africa Union (InterAfrican Bureau for Animal Resources), AMREF, and World Vision, offering a range of services from consultation to coaching and leadership programs.

    For companies in the transport and communications sector, I conducted workshops, facilitated strategic planning, and provided HR consulting services for Econet-Leo Burundi, Kenya Airports Authority, Kenya Airways, Airtel, and Rongai Workshop. In the insurance sector, I contributed to various initiatives, including customer value proposition training for Liberty Life Kenya and recruitment of a Human Resources Manager for APA Insurance. I engaged with Invesco in facilitating strategic plans, ISO 9001:2008 consultancy, HR consulting, and recruitment services. For REAL Insurance, I provided HR consultancy and conducted regional workshops on HR as a Business Partner.

    In the education sector, I conducted training sessions for College of Biological and Physical Sciences at the University of Nairobi, Strathmore University, and Management University of Africa. I was involved in various initiatives in the security sector, including HR consulting, job evaluations, executive coaching, and strategic planning for BM Security. Other notable engagements spanned diverse industries such as Kingsway Tyres, Michelin, Export Promotion Council, Scion Real Estate, OSRAM in the energy sector, Sterling Craft in the jewelry sector, and Legal Resources Foundation Trust in the civil society space.

    These experiences have equipped me with a comprehensive skill set and a proven track record in delivering effective consulting services across different industries and sectors.


    TRAINING

    In my training journey, I have been deeply involved in the design, development, and facilitation of various training programs spanning a wide array of crucial areas. These programs have covered strategic planning, leadership, governance, HR management, coaching, mentoring, business continuity planning and management, disaster preparedness, business start-up and development, customer service, team building, change management, communication, and more.

    A significant focus of my work has been on performance management. I played a pivotal role in introducing and implementing the Balanced Scorecard, a comprehensive framework that ensures a balanced approach to organizational performance. Additionally, I initiated and implemented Personal Development Plans, fostering individual growth and skill enhancement of team members. Notably, I collaborated with clients on the implementation of a 360-degree feedback system, contributing to a comprehensive approach to performance evaluation and development.

    In the health sector, my contributions have been particularly impactful. I developed and delivered Leadership Development Programs (LDP) tailored for health workers, partnering with organizations such as MSH (Management Sciences for Health) and KMTC (Kenya Medical Training College - 32 colleges). Additionally, I played a crucial role in the implementation of IQMS (Integrated Quality Management System), a quality program designed for government and faith-based hospitals in rural Kenya. These initiatives have not only enhanced leadership capabilities but have also significantly contributed to improving the quality of healthcare services in these settings.

    I have had the distinct privilege of serving as a key contributor to the success of the African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD), a prominent client. In this impactful role, my focus has centered on the design, implementation, and facilitation of comprehensive mentoring, coaching, leadership, and negotiation skills programs. This encompassed the entire training lifecycle, from the meticulous design of courses to the delivery of engaging sessions, thorough evaluation processes, detailed report writing, and sustained support for participants over an extended duration. My commitment to fostering professional growth and empowerment has been a guiding principle in my collaboration with AWARD, marking a journey characterized by substantive contributions to the development and advancement of women in agricultural research and development. I had the privilege of collaborating with a distinguished array of clients, each representing a significant sphere of influence and impact. Among them are esteemed organizations such as the World Bank, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), the United Nations (UN), the African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF), OXFAM, World Vision, World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Airtel, Kenya Airways, Nairobi Women’s Hospital, GIZ, Njimia Pharmaceuticals, the British High Commission, the Center for Corporate Governance, the College for Human Resource Management, and CABI amongst others. This diverse portfolio reflects my commitment to engaging with entities that are at the forefront of their respective industries, contributing my expertise to drive positive change and meaningful outcomes.



    CORPORATE GOVERNANCE AND BOARD TRAINING

    In the realm of corporate governance and board training, I have had the privilege of collaborating with multiple boards facilitated by African Management Services Company LLC (AMSCO), a distinguished pan-African private sector development entity. This dynamic engagement has allowed me to contribute to the strategic development and leadership enhancement of various boards, navigating the intricacies of corporate governance with a focus on sustainable and impactful private and public sector growth across the African continent. At the Centre for Corporate Governance, I played a crucial role as a certified Corporate Governance trainer for both public and private boards. I actively participated in advanced leadership programs and corporate governance initiatives at the Kenya Institute of Management and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
