Project: iMAMA which is a prospective study that is collecting obstetric ultrasound imaging data using with the aim of designing and developing an AI solution that has algorithms for automated / semi-automated detection of the basic obstetric ultrasound screening parameters.

• Participated actively in regular meetings with fellow researchers to discuss project updates, challenges faced, and lessons learned during ongoing activities.
• Contributed to the publication of research articles.
• Conducted literature reviews to support hypothesis development and identify gaps in existing knowledge.
• Site visits to the different facilities for mentorship and support data backup.
• Following up on the referral cases.

Project- WHEELER (Women in Health and their Economic, Equity and Livelihood statuses during Emergency Preparedness and Response)- which looked at impact of COVID 19 and its mitigation measures on healthcare workers across the Kenyan health system in Mombasa and Kilifi

Roles:

• Undertook data collection using the digital survey tool as per the study protocol.
• Conducted in-depth interviews, transcribed the audio and analyzed the transcripts using NVIVO.
• Mobilized participants for the different data collection.
• Implemented rigorous quality control measures to ensure integrity and reliability of research data.
• Presented the study at Conferences and County meetings
• Conducted extensive literature reviews to identify research gaps.
• Led workshops and seminars to disseminate research findings, contributing to academic community's growth.

• Managed daily care of inpatients including undertaking routine
  and specialized investigations and drug therapy.
• Scheduled and performed surgeries.
• Attended and led ward rounds with consulting staff to discuss patient
  treatment plans.

• Learnt different ways of managing addiction in people who use drugs especially opioids

• Provided clinical services such as treatment of abscess and other minor illness, overdose prevention and management services, and treatment of diseases such as TB and Hepatitis C

• Provided harm reduction services to key population (people who use drugs) with the aim of reducing harm associated with drug use such as HIV transmissions through hotspot-based outreaches where a comprehensive package of services is provided
• Provided targeted information, education, and communication materials for KPs and their sexual partners
• Attended counseling sessions with addiction counselors such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Family Therapy, and Group counseling
