  • Since my graduation from the Kenya Military Academy I have been involved in several military missions and courses that have sharpened and seen me rise steadily from the rank of a 2nd Lieutenant to a Major
  • As a Squadron Aviation Commander my role is critical in overseeing aviation operations, personnel, and resources within my unit
  • My roles include:
  • Overseeing the training and qualification of pilots and aircrew by implementing flight training programs to maintain high proficiency levels
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of subordinates, providing mentorship and guidance
  • Lead and manage the squadron's pilots, aircrew, and support staff
  • Foster discipline, morale, teamwork within the squadron and serve as a role model for professionalism and adherence to military standards

  • As a utility helicopter pilot, I effectively employed the capabilities of the Bell UH-1H-II and AS 350 platforms in diverse mission critical operations and logistical roles to support military objectives, both day and night such as:
  • On an air ambulance role, I conducted casualty and medical evacuation missions in support of ground forces to evacuate wounded personnel from the battlefield to medical facilities under hostile conditions both in Kenya and Somalia
  • On air transport role I executed delivery of critical resupplies of food, ammunition, equipment, tools, and personnel to KDF forward operating bases or remote locations
  • On Para role, I planned and executed troop insertion and extraction operations into and out of combat zones often in challenging and hostile environments
  • Performed escort missions in an armed role providing aerial cover to convoys, supply missions, or troop movement to ensure their safety against enemy threat in both in Kenya and Somalia
  • Carried out combat search and rescue missions for ground troops dispersed by enemy action
  • On VIP role I planned and executed high priority transport missions for senior military leaders and government officials and national holiday formation fly-pasts
  • As an aviation Squadron commander, I was tasked to provide strategic aviation expertise and employment of aviation assets under my command to senior military leadership to develop and execute missions in supporting military ground operations in Lamu, North Eastern province and Somalia
  • I planned and executed disaster response missions in aid civil authorities in disaster relief efforts under all-weather conditions to provide humanitarian support to civilians during natural disasters
