∑ Work in conjunction with the field to complete field oriented tasks

∑ Collect and organize the data from farm inspections/activities prior to entry

∑ Work with the documentation officer to ensure farmer database is updated and inspection/field data correctly entered.

∑ Conduct data analysis as requested by Olivado management

∑ Provide research, data collection and collation for farmer training program development

∑ Provide administrative support to field activities as required in conjunction with the documentation officer.

∑ Collect and enter production data and Processing data analysis and raising reports

∑ Conduct fruits-oil reconciliation reports

∑ Actively involved in determining fruits quality (Dry matter testing to check Fruit maturity, \cooling / Ripening quality monitoring

∑ Preparation of fruits cooling , ripening ,processing and oil storage protocols

∑ Preparation of weekly, monthly, seasonal processing reports and customs reports

∑ Cary out logistic duties (raising of shipping Invoices and any other related duties}

∑ in charge of Health and safety (ensuring safe working environment)

∑ Actively involved in raising Safe Operating Procedures both for machines and processing

∑ in charge of factory hygiene and making sure that all cleaning records are up to date

∑ Carry out laboratory test as per the set standards

∑ Preparation of samples for analysis

∑ Maintaining technical records and preparation of laboratory data reports

∑ Active Member of the Health and Safety team (In charge of conducting Health and

Hazard analysis

∑ Member of Food and Safety Committee

∑ Involved in training casuals on IMO requirement and regulations (casual’s employments Act)

∑ In charge of IMO’s inspection under Avocado handling and system flow

analysis and processing through traceability.

∑ Any other duties assigned by the company Management

Kenya: Poverty reduction, food security, gender and private food safety standards linkages).

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Data collection. 

 Filling and coding the questionnaires 

Data entry clerk using the SPSS data entry software. 

Successfully completed a trade project on the topic

“Adulteration of raw milk rendered in Thika Sub-urbs”.

And acquired substantial skills in determination of: fat content by Gerber method, specific gravity, and clot on boiling, total dissolved solids, water content, PH, titratable acidity, methylene blue test, presence of Hydrogen peroxide in both raw and processed milk.

(A trade project is a research done and presented by trainees before the completion of a course in the particular specified field)

Preparation of samples for analysis, Analysis of various samples (water, detergents and other samples),determination of chloride,sulphates using the gravimetric methods, determination of lithium, potassium and sodium content in water using the flame photometry, determination of iron, fluoride and nitrate content in water using the UV spectrophotometer, determination of chemical oxygen demand(COD) and biological oxygen demand (BOD) in water effluents and general laboratory housekeeping.
