  • Worked with Oracle to roll the ERP system, Oracle Fusion
  • My tasks included direct engagements, testing, validation, and training staff before the system went live in August 2022
  • Worked with KRA to resolve withholding VAT issues which were completed in January 2022
  • Analyzed and reconciled Fixed Asset Register which ensured that 90% assets in the FAR were in General Ledger
  • Prepared financial reports which lead to unqualified opinions from external auditors and the Office of the Auditor-General
  • Responsibilities:
  • Enter data in the Oracle and T24 Systems, verify the accuracy of invoice amounts, and ensure that all support documents are attached for completeness
  • Undertake importation process of transactions from T24 to Oracle Fusion system to ensure that General Ledger captures and reflects all financial transactions conducted from different branches and currency centers .
  • Assisted with the day-to-day operations of the finance department such as filing and retention of finance documents, making payments to suppliers and staff, managing accruals and prepayments, following up receivables from debtors, managing petty cash disbursements and working efficiently and productively with all team members.
  • Prepare, process and analyze monthly payroll reports and highlight all changes, advising staff on their loan qualifications, approving their loan applications as well as ensuring that loan deductions are entered into the Oracle system
  • Prepare the annual budget, upload approved budget and budget revisions in the system, monitor the budget, and conduct variance analysis monthly
  • Undertake month end closure of accounts so as to ensure all reports necessary for audit exercise are ready, coordinating with external auditors and implementing audit findings and recommendations for the head office, branches and currency centers
