I joined the Commission as a Network Support Intern and have since advanced to the role of Information Security Analyst. In this capacity, my responsibilities include:

• Enhanced network security by monitoring systems for potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Integrated threat intelligence into security processes to enhance the proactive identification of potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Handle SIEM alerts, document actions and responses, and track remediation actions.
• Managing and maintaining security tools and technologies to ensure optimal performance and protection.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on best practices and emerging threats
• As the appointed ICT Risk champion, I contribute to data governance and risk management by identifying, analyzing and reporting on the top Risks, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and mitigation measures to the management
• Drafting and reviewing necessary cybersecurity artifacts to include, but not limited to Policies, Standard operating procedures, Security Incident reports, User manuals guides and penetration testing reports
• Champion the implementation of, and ensure departmental compliance with, ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management standard as a lead Implementor and Auditor.
• Provided technical support during high-priority incidents, ensuring timely resolution with minimal impact on business operations.

• Diagnosed and resolved on network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
• Installed and configured network cabling and wireless access points
• Provided technical support to end-users experiencing network problems
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues using network monitoring tool
• Maintain and manage network servers, including file servers, email servers, and domain controllers.

• Receive/log and route user calls and ensure timely response
• Log all user-reported issues and service requests in the helpdesk ticketing system
• Track the status of incidents and ensure timely resolution or escalation as needed
• Support the setup and maintenance of networked devices
• Assist in installing and updating software applications on user computers
• Ensure that all software installations comply with organizational policies and licensing agreements.
