Worked as a digital editor for Chams Media where I was responsible for captioning and transcription.

I was responsible for the following;

• Combined text, video and other composited elements onscreen to create logical, coherent layouts.
• Organized assets by collecting data from camera media, transcoding video and audio files and managing file backup to digital asset management system.
• Ensure that files are sent on time before deadlines.
• Determined readiness of written pieces, made changes and approved final versions
  for publication
• Transcribed over 10 audio files per day
• Worked with graphic artists, post-production team members and other specialists to deliver edits on time for reviews and final delivery.

Worked as an enumerator in my home town (Limuru) during the 2019 census year. The key responsibilities assigned to me include;

• Identified the boundaries for my enumeration area which included 25% of my entire group's enumeration boundary.
• Administered all questions and recorded responses on all persons who spent the night of 24th/25th August 2019 in each of the households in the assigned enumeration area.
• Obtained complete and accurate answers and captured them correctly during the exercise.
• Forwarded all equipment and questionnaires, maps, notebooks and any other materials as directed by the Content Supervisor.

Worked in accounts/finance department and engaged in activities like balancing payment vouchers, registering new customers, biometrics, filling out vouchers, and printing/issuing new cards.

• Personally monitored, researched and evaluated credit performance data for over 2000 NHIF applicants
• Verified and updated customer data
• Prepared written correspondence to customers regarding NHIF status and credit limit charges
• Learnt importance of record-keeping and filing for future reference and easy
  retrieval, thereby saving time by 30%
• Communicated with various data sources and peers to acquire missing data
• Proper communication skills
• Understood the importance of teamwork

Worked as a clerk and engaged in the voter registration process and conducting the election process. I was under the supervision of the polling place judge.
My duties and responsibilities included;

• Ensuring that qualified voters are permitted to vote
• Organize polling place before polls open
• Checking in and processing over 200 voters in my local area
• Distributing ballots to registered voters
• Providing instructions and assistance to voters
• Answering voters and questions
• Explaining use of voting equipment
• Maintaining order in polling place on Election Day
• Obtaining results after polls are closed and closing the polling place
• Serving as an interpreter for voters who speak a language other than English

Selected as one of 2000 participants nationwide for this 8-month professional development programme by African Leadership Group (ALX Africa) for high-achieving talent based on leadership potential and academic success.

Ongoing professional development in Financial Modeling and Valuation Analysis (FVMA), and Business Intelligence and Data Analysis (BIDA).

Currently taking KASNEB's Certified Investment Financial Analyst (CIFA) professional course, which has so far equipped me with the necessary skills to navigate the finance and accounting world. Currently at the Advanced Level (Section 5 & 6) and hope to complete the course before the end of the year (2022).

I was introduced to finance and accounting field and learnt concepts such as financial analysis, problem solving skills, communication skills and computer skills.
