Claims Manager

In recognition of my dedication and excellent performance, I was promoted to the position of Claims Manager in May 2025. In this role, I took on more advanced administrative and technical responsibilities, particularly in medical claims processing and insurance coordination.

Key duties and responsibilities included:

  • Ensuring proper completion of claim forms by both patients and attending doctors.
  • Seeking bill approvals from various insurance companies, particularly for claims that exceed contract limits.
  • Submitting both inpatient and outpatient claims through respective insurance portals, ensuring accuracy of patient details, diagnosis, invoice numbers, and billing amounts.
  • Performing Electronic Claims Transmission (ETMIS) to some insurance companies to facilitate timely payments.
  • Preparing claims for physical dispatch to insurance providers at the end of every month.
  • Following up with insurance companies to ensure processing and reimbursement of claims.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and compliance requirements.


Through this position, I have gained advanced skills in medical claims management, insurance liaison, data verification, and financial accountability. I have also enhanced my problem-solving abilities by addressing claim discrepancies and ensuring smooth coordination between the facility, patients, and insurance providers.


Health Records and Information (HRIO) Duties

Alongside my administrative responsibilities, I have also supported the Health Records and Information Office (HRIO). My role in this area involves:

  • Compiling and submitting monthly data reports to the County Health Records Office.
  • Utilizing various Ministry of Health (MOH) tools for accurate data entry and reporting.
  • Ensuring proper documentation of patient visits, admissions, and discharges.
  • Supporting data-driven decision-making through timely and accurate reporting.
  • This exposure has strengthened my expertise in health records management, data reporting, and compliance with Ministry of Health standards.



Receptionist

I joined the Doctor’s Center in January 2025 as a Receptionist, where I worked both day and night shifts. My primary responsibilities included welcoming patients to the facility, creating a conducive and friendly environment for them, and ensuring smooth flow of services from registration to discharge. I played an essential role as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills.


Key duties and responsibilities included:

  • Welcoming patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Creating a conducive and supportive environment for patients at the reception.
  • Handling both outpatient and inpatient billing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
