Summary

Noah is a strategic agribusiness advisor, project manager, and agriculture economist with over 10 years of vast experience in dedicated client advisory, evaluating business strategies, building the capacity of farmer organizations to shape and influence policy and to be able to mobilize funds for growth and development. Noah holds a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics with a development pathway in Food security and project management for developing countries from The University of Reading, UK, and pursuing a certification course in Policy Analysis from the London School of Economics. Noah rose through the ranks and proven history working with the Presidency as the director of the resource mobilization and agriculture partnerships, Head of Agriculture projects, CEO of Mama Fresh, and Market linkage manager of YEGEN Farms, owned by the President of the Republic of Kenya demonstrates his prowess in identifying and deconstructing business strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that is critical for partnerships and collaborations. In addition, Noah worked with varied business market linkage service providers within Agrochemicals (High chem marketing group and Twiga Chemicals) and worked with UN FAO and IFAD-funded projects in Kenya. Lead Technical and operational leadership in both countries

  • Support over fifty farmer cooperatives /organizations and farmer federations under the Farmer-Focused Transformation (FFT) and ACTING NOW projects in Kenya and Tanzania to draft compelling grant and policy proposals for funding
  • Coordinate over 10 lead cooperative advisors in multiple value chains (dairy, coffee, tea, maize, potatoes) in various projects to analyze client’s business cases to align to fund requirements and member needs, governance, finance, and climate cleverness checks for purposes of onboarding and identification of potential areas for collaboration and action planning or financing

Coordinate Research and participatory client/product development

  • In liaison with Project leads and a team of cooperative advisors, coordinate, and conduct comprehensive industry /value chain feasibility, investment, market, and sales potential analysis, and evaluate selected business costs to ascertain viability, profitability, and sustainability of planned investments

Facilitate project Execution, participation of clients and M&E

  • Support multiple cooperatives to design, write, and produce high-impact success stories using the Challenge Action and Result (CAR) Framework
  • Support participating farmer organizations to negotiate and draft contract agreements and grant signings plus ensuring open, objective discussions with clients as they submit periodic progress reports from time to time
  • Support program Monitoring and Evaluation team to review client activities (Financial and results), make recommendations for knowledge management, and transfer of best applicable models e.g Commercial fodder production

Support strategic Partnerships & collaborations with HQ

  • Represent Agriterra in business development meetings with donors and development partners in cooperative development and policy
  • Ensure seamless coordination of policy, grant, and lobby activities between a team of business advisors in East Africa, and Netherlands, and other regions.

  • Advise the deputy president and the spouse on the overall agribusiness strategy at Yegen Farms to optimize profitability and attain sustainability

  • Professionalize the HR and Finance departments at the farm and improve staff performance and marketing efficiency, transparency, and traceability
  • This grew the firm portfolio from KES 8 million to KES 330 million in just 3 years.

Giving back to society

I started a poultry initiative in my sub county aimed at supporting the vulnerable with an incentive /seed capital to acquire and venture into local chicken production as a way of agribusiness and to alleviate each household out of poverty by ensuring at least they earn above 1 USD /Dollar
