· Develop and implement a comprehensive ICT strategy aligned with the hospital's overall goals and objectives.

· Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the hospital's ICT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and telecommunications systems.

· Establish and enforce security policies and procedures to protect patient data and ensure compliance with healthcare and data protection act 2019.

· Manage and optimize the hospital's HMIS system, ensuring interoperability, data integrity, and usability for all users.

· Recruit, mentor, and lead a skilled ICT team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

· Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for team members.

· Cultivate and manage relationships with technology vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services.

· Oversee the IT helpdesk, ensuring timely and effective support for end-users.

· Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans for ICT systems.

· Monitor and report on budget performance, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.

- Ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the hospital's ICT infrastructure.

- Performing routine system backups, data recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.
- Conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Developing and managing the ICT department budget, including forecasting expenses and allocating resources effectively.
- Providing technical assistance and troubleshooting support to hospital staff for ICT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.

• Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)

• Install and configure appropriate software and hardware functions according to specifications

• Manage network servers and technology tools and ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems

• Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule

• Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders

• Provide user and technical support including staff training availability, security, confidentiality and integrity of information and ICT infrastructure.

• Manage the Hospital website, Internet, the LAN, WAN with other areas concerned.
