  • Extending of geodetic controls, 3D Cadastral mapping of The Technical University of Kenya building foundations using drone and Aerial laser scanner technology.
  • Participated in 3D Cadastral mapping of 12 Floors Building in Nairobi for preparation of Sectional Plans for Registration purposes. The project involved; provision of Geodetic Control with GNSS, close range imaging with Terrestrial Laser Scanner, mapping of Building Wall-Targets with Total Station and subsequent adjustment of coordinates with close arrange Collinearity equations.
  • Researched and developed surveying and photogrammetric measurement systems, cadastral systems and land information systems.

  • Researched on the project on A Web-Based Object-Relational Cadastral Model for Kenya: The Case for Spatially Enabled Land Governance. This paper was accepted for presentation and publication at FIG Working Week, 19-24 May, 2024 at Accra, Ghana.
  • Participated in the development of a journal paper on Policy strategies For Climate change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Management for Better Land Governance in Africa. This paper was presented by Prof. Gordon Wayumba and I at the 2nd Regional Research Conference, May, 2023 themed Responding to Climate Change Through Land Governance in the Region at Kenya School of Government, Nairobi.

  • Showed entrepreneurial and innovative skills by coming up with the most modern means of Carbon Sequestration where the local and national community as a whole can plant, measure, monitor, register, validate the trees for carbon credits from the international Carbon Credit buyers. This has encouraged the organizations and communities to plant more trees as a response to climate change.
  • Involved in the community development program under NAFASI MENTORPOINT; actively taking part in helping the widows by building houses, advising on the small income generating businesses like poultry farming and other agricultural enterprises that can help in sustaining themselves as means to curb the sprawling poverty. This is one of the goals of NAFASI MENTORPOINT which is to transfer lives through community empowerment by creating opportunities to help them tackle the underlying cause of poverty and low income in disadvantaged communities.

Accomplishments

  • Participated in the preparation and publication of Journal papers at international conferences. Recently presented Kenya paper on the “Adoption of Block Chain Technology for Improved Land Governance in Africa” in a Conference on Land Policy in Africa at African Union Headquarters Center- Addis Ababa, Ethiopia between 21-24 November, 2023.
  • Developed a very strong paper on “A Web-Based Object-Relational Cadastral Model for Kenya: The Case for Spatially Enabled Land Governance.” This paper has been accepted for publication in the FIG-Working Week in Accra Ghana, 19-24 May, 2024. It will be presented at the conference by me and my other co-Authors.
