Executive Director at Hands on the future Skills Show -Permanent Working Group (PWG). Works with NGOs, Think-Tanks, Development Partners, TVET institutions, and Government under PWG to implement TVET reforms while revitalizing the TVET Ecosystem in Kenya.

Roles:

  • Enable TVET sector stakeholders to network and share ideas and strategies on how to improve perception of TVT among youth, their parents, and general public.
  • Expose and connect young people to diverse opportunities in TVET sector while addressing unemployment, solving the Skills Gap Crisis, and eventually achieving Big Four Agenda in Kenya.
  • Promote collaboration and guide implementation of TVET reforms to PWG members and external partners.
  • In charge of Hands on the Future Skills Show- Direct, Plan, recruit, budget, mobilize partners, mobilize youth for Hands on the Future skills show (HOTFs)
  • Manage logistics processes and contracting of event planners and lead organizers.
  • In charge of fundraising.
  • Organize workshops and seminar series in collaboration with PWG partners.
  • Manage all engagements with all PWG players in the Kenyan TVET ecosystem.
  • Support planning and execution of online(Virtual Platform) seminar series and workshops
  • Prepare talking points and presentations for various PWG stakeholders for fundraising.
  • Report writing, Financial reporting, and Monitoring & Evaluation
  • Draft and implement Monitoring and Evaluation(M&E) strategies to measure the success and progress of HOTF and disseminate them to all PWG partners
  • Coordinate with communication teams to create digital content including; audio-visual materials for communication, dissemination to all stakeholders.

  • Developed Grants Proposals for Capital Development and Resource Mobilization for ARU. Raised over 1000,000USD within a period of two years
  • Represented AAYMCA at local, regional, and international
    conventions while building and maintaining sustainable professional

  • Worked with AAYMCA team to develop Social Enterprise Manual aimed at empowering 17 YMCAs Centers across Africa to support themselves financially instead of relying solely on grants and donations.
  • Linked AAYMCA to over 20 partners in Skills Development Industry to provide incubation, mentorship, Scholarships, Experiential Learning (Apprenticeships), Funding Opportunities and Institutional Strengthening for ARU
  • Fundraised for the Career Manenoz Event and Mobilized and empowered over 3000 youth in 2016
  • Developed the African Renaissance University Business plan ,Strategic Plan, Operational plan and Monitoring & Evaluation Tools
  • Facilitated scholarships for over 2500 young people in Technical Vocational
  • Fundraised and facilitated development of curriculum to ensure ARU delivers outstanding range of education and training opportunities.
  • Facilitated Accreditation of the African Renaissance • University
    Built and strengthened AAYMCA relationships with Government Agencies, Donors and NGOs by representing their interest.
