  • Clinical Research Assistant in a research study, Data-informed Stepped Care (DiSC)
  • This is a study that sought to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing a model christened Stepped-care, in intervention for HIV treatment and management in persons living with HIV/AIDs. The DiSC intervention comprised of a system that assigned patients to care based on their health needs and the different levels of care for each assignment group with a primary outcome expected to be on their retention on clinical management while secondary outcomes include adherence, viral non-suppression and receipt of differentiated care.
  • In the study;
  • I oversaw the research activities such as implementation of the system in the wards at Rachuonyo Sub-county hospital to the satisfaction of study coordinator and principal investigator
  • Screened and recruited the participants and ensured a retention rate of over 96% during the entire tenure of following them up for the study survey
  • Administered informed consent to participants upon screening and
  • Booked clients for Focused Group Discussions (FGDs)
  • This is a skill that is essential for learners in conducting reviews of the data collected in clinical areas and in coming up with a theme for case writings
