Accomplishments
- Considering BlueCover was very new at the time I joined, the clients I had in my previous employer still came with me irrespective of the unknown broker. This confirmed that in addition to believing in the company I represented, I was doing a good job. Those clients have built a pool for my client list to date.
- Embarked on growing our social media presence in December 2023. This has been a constant learning journey considering I had never done this before. Our post reach grew from >40 post engagements to over 100 impressions and post reach from under 50 to over 1000 in every post. We have not made a sale from any of the social media posts but the brand is slowly getting known.
- Successfully prepared tenders both technical and financial and won/lost some i.e. NHC, Nairobi Hospital, Kenyatta University, Kenyatta Hospital etc. This was a learning curve where I dealt with pressure as tendering process is such a stringent process, working late etc
- Successfully ensured that all regulatory documents (IRA, AIBK, Business permit, C.Vs, recommendation letters etc) are prepared/renewed and saved in a central place for ease of access by everyone else.
- Solely ensured that we had than five (5) travel portals (Heritage, Fidelity, AIG, Resolution, UAP that ensured that our clients had a wide choice. We could issue travel covers within five (5) minutes and ensure premiums are remitted to the insurers respectively.
Passion
- I am passionate about learning & and experimenting new things. I.e. People's experiences with social media accounts & companies being hacked sparked my curiosity to learn about cybersecurity. The knowledge is mainly to help people around me recover their accounts and more so for my own security.
- My colleagues (6 of us) and I decided to try the 52-week saving challenge in 2022 but we had no one to keep the records. I offered to keep the records, opened a money market account, maintained the records and shared the statement on a monthly basis. At the end of the year, we shared the interest earned. This was fulfilling to see my colleagues save and do something meaningful with their money. This is still ongoing.
