Summary

I am a social scientist who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Gender and Development Studies and Sociology from Kenyatta University. I have experience in gender mainstreaming, analysis, research, developing and facilitating capacity-building sessions on gender-based violence, social justice, gender inclusion, menstrual health and mental health for various stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, law enforcement officers, Schools and community as well as facilitating on financial literacy and gender equality awareness and inclusion to women living with disabilities in Kajiado County as an Associate Inclusion Officer working for Hope Foundation for African Women (HFAW). Passionate about promoting gender equality, social inclusion and social justice, I also wish to state that I am the secretary to the team working to develop a Community Based Organization-CBO for People Living with Disabilities PWDs in Kisii County. Adept at working with diverse communities, including those in informal settlements and remote areas as a community champion to drive meaningful change through education, awareness, and strategic interventions of gender-based violence in thirteen (13) counties under the Accelerate project funded by the Embassy of Denmark to Kenya. I am currently working as a Program Support Officer (Volunteer) at the Gender Violence Recovery Centre (GVRC), Nairobi Women’s Hospital and an Associate Inclusion Officer with HFAW as well as a member of Global Youth Consortium on Harmful Practices and a member of Catholic Justice and Peace Department-CJPD.
