  • I was part of a group of six medical student researchers who researched “Assessment of Compliance with Infection Control Standard Precautions in Prevention of Surgical Site Infections and to Establish Associated Factors among Staff at the Main Theatre in Kisumu County Referral Hospital” in Kenya. It was a cross-sectional descriptive study that used an enumerative sampling technique.
  • Health-Professional Education Partnership Initiative (HEPI) - Kenya is a grant awarded to the University of Nairobi with an objective to increase capacity for a multidisciplinary workforce to design, conduct and disseminate research. The targeted workforce includes undergraduate and graduate health professional students targeted to improve practice-oriented research skills training at the collaborating Kenyan Universities and their affiliated teaching hospitals.
