Opportunity capture:

• Continuously scan and monitor a variety of funding portals for new opportunities (both open and forecasted) of relevance to Cardno work and log them in Cardno opportunity tracker
• Where required provide clear analysis on new funding opportunities to enable Business Pursuit function (and all other participating functions) to develop appropriate approaches to secure enhanced positioning, partnerships and funding;

Business intelligence

• Ensure ongoing analysis of all donor trends
• Provide thematic research, analysis and evidence of emerging or existing trends (donor, thematic, geographic etc.) – contributing to more robust and well evidenced Practice Area funding strategies
• Support preparation and networking of Cardno colleagues (and oneself) representing Cardno at external events with donor/partner/opportunity briefings as required
• Provide comprehensive market mapping of key funders and their key Implementing partners at global and country level, their funding priorities and Cardno’s eligibility and position to approach them;

Bid development: As required act as a member of Cardno bid teams to provide administrative, design and review support

• Provide surge capacity for the proposal development team to act as a Proposal Development, where required
• Business Pursuit data and knowledge curation:
• Curate and enhance all aspects of Cardno’s business pursuit data and its management including: proposal and contract storage solutions, donor guides, proposal tracking and record of accomplishment data
• Provide curation and ongoing development of the Knowledge Hub and its associated internal guidance and tools
• Oversee and enhance all aspects of business pursuit file architecture and data storage conventions and protocols
• Reporting:
• Provide timely and accurate reporting services to Business Pursuit and the organisation more widely including pipeline reporting, quarterly business reviews and other reporting services (i.e

• Identification of new opportunities on various sites and conducting background search of potential opportunities for the company to pursue
• Provide a preliminary analysis of identified/new opportunities to the team for decision making
• Conduct searches for experts in Cardno’s in-house and external databases
• Screening and contacting experts in coordination with the recruitment and project teams
• Assisting the proposal teams with the evaluation, selection, tailoring and formatting of experts’ CVs for proposals
• Uploading CVs to Cardno’s in-house database
• Format and tailor project references
• Lead EOI preparation and assist in responding to proposals
• Search for partners to work within projects being pursued
• Conduct thematic research, analysis, and evidence of emerging/existing trends (donors, thematic, geographic etc.)
• Conduct background search of potential firms to partner with on projects/proposals
• Represent Cardno at external events with donor/partner/opportunity briefings as required
• Work closely with project coordinators to contribute various project management activities research and administrative assistance in the program startup
• Provide timely and accurate reporting and document management including Quickbase and the internal server.
