  • Responsibilities included developing structures for County Human Resource, employment of new staff, promotion, staff training and development
  • General oversight of staff performance through performance contracting and appraisals
  • Developed structures for all County departments, namely; Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, environment & natural resources etc

  • Achievements: Developed Human Resource structures for all county departments, recruited over 700 new staff, inducted and deployed them accordingly, appraised and motivated staff.

  • Responsibilities included training and working as a Natural resource management officer (enforcement of wildlife Laws and habitat management), prevention of wildlife crime in Tsavo Landscape, headed Rhino monitoring unit in Tsavo Ecosystem, species management and implementation of projects and programmes, management of donor grants for Rhino monitoring programs, oversight grants from major donors like WWF, US Fish & Wildlife, Zoological Society of London
  • Achievements: Reduction of poaching and growth of Rhino numbers with an annual birth of 56 calves, wildlife habitat management, protection of national against encroachment - no encroachment experienced.
