Why Assistant Organising Secretary

Working on MedLife Echoes taught me a lot about organization and bringing people together. The biggest challenge was doing everything alone - from managing the website to coordinating students to keeping everything running. That experience showed me how much more we can achieve when we work as a team with proper organization. I want to bring my technical skills and organizational experience to MKUMReC because I believe research is how we grow as medical students and future doctors. My experience connecting Year 2 and 3 students, building digital platforms, and serving as Secretary for MedCode Community has prepared me to support the Organising Secretary in making sure our club runs smoothly. I'm particularly interested in using technology to make club operations easier - things like digital record-keeping, better communication systems, and making research resources accessible to everyone. I also want to help create an environment where students from all years feel comfortable pursuing research and learning from each other.
